Ever since we were kids, cleaning up has been a chore. Some grow up and decide that they want to take good care of their home and keep it as neat as they can, while others tend to collect clutter around themselves. This might not have an effect on your life, but if you are in the process of selling your home, there is good reason for you to pay some attention to the appearance of your home. Why is that? Having a messy, cluttered home can turn away a potential buyer for several different reasons. One is that they might have a hard time imagining themselves living there. Another is that the home appears smaller than it actually is with a lot of clutter. It could even make the buyer assume that there isn’t enough space for storage in the home, forcing you to keep your stuff out in the living areas.

It is also a problem when it comes to bugs and rodents. Having a lot of clutter will offer them places to nest in hiding, making an infestation harder to spot.
