Is your cement walkway all messed up? It can happen because of the ground shifting or because of mistakes made when the slab was poured, but it can be unsightly or even dangerous as a tripping hazard.

Of course, you probably worry about the work and cost that would be involved in replacing the slab, so you might be happy to hear that there is a cheaper alternative that can give you the right result. It is called mudjacking.

Mudjacking can be performed by a trained professional, and it is done fairly quickly, especially when you compare it to tearing up your old slab and pouring a new one. It is accomplished by drilling holes into your existing concrete slab and then pumping a mixture of cement, dirt and water underneath the slab until it is leveled out. This is not something that you can do on your own, but you will need someone that knows how to identify possible dangers such as underlying pipes or electrical wires.
